A half day wildlife experience inside Kenya's capital
This half day Nairobi safari combines three very different wildlife experiences without requiring an overnight safari. Begin with a guided game drive in Nairobi National Park, continue to the Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Nairobi Nursery, then visit the Giraffe Centre for a close encounter with Rothschild's giraffes.
Nairobi National Park is unusual because genuine savannah wildlife exists immediately beside the capital. Kenya Wildlife Service records rhinos, lions, giraffes, buffalo and many other species within the park. For current visitor information, use the official Kenya Wildlife Service Nairobi National Park page.
Sheldrick Wildlife Trust Nursery
The Nairobi Nursery is known for rescued orphan elephants. Public visiting currently takes place from 11:00 to 12:00 and requires advance booking, so this part of the itinerary remains subject to a confirmed nursery slot. Check current requirements on the official Sheldrick Wildlife Trust visiting page.
Giraffe Centre
The Giraffe Centre adds an educational conservation experience focused on Rothschild's giraffes. The exact order of the three stops can be adjusted around the confirmed Sheldrick visiting slot and Nairobi traffic conditions.
Rates and booking
Current adult rates are stored for 2026 and 2027. Adult only bookings can be calculated from the dated rate matrix. Because the Sheldrick Nursery requires advance booking, Euclea Safaris should confirm the requested date before final fulfilment. If a selected date cannot be secured, an alternative date or adjusted Nairobi programme will be offered rather than promising an unavailable nursery visit.
