Kora National Park is a remote and unspoiled wilderness located in eastern Kenya along the Tana River. Covering approximately 1,787 square kilometers, the park is known for its rugged landscapes, dramatic granite inselbergs, acacia woodlands, and rich conservation history. It gained international recognition as the home of renowned conservationists George and Joy Adamson, famous for their work with lions and the story of Born Free.
The park supports a variety of wildlife including elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, lesser kudus, hyenas, wild dogs, and numerous bird species. Visitors can enjoy game drives, birdwatching, camping, hiking, rock climbing, fishing, and exploring historical sites such as George Adamson’s Camp (Kampi ya Simba).
